As the financial & insurance professional, your cases are complex, the dollars large, and your clients are often older — which means they also have medical problems. You spend months putting a large case together. You work with personal attorneys, trust attorneys, business attorneys, CPAs, and actuaries to design and sell the right product. You have experts for everything except medical records. Until now.
Avoid surprises, eliminate stress, and add value with DrBob, LLC Dr. Bob Gleeson will review your client’s medical records, identify issues of interest to an underwriter, make recommendations to smooth the medical underwriting process, identify any courses of action that might improve the underwriting offer, and explain any likely ratings to help you place the case.
Why Dr. Bob?
Experience
Unparalleled knowledge of the
medical underwriting process
During his nearly 30-year career as Medical Director for Northwestern Mutual, Dr. Bob handled hundreds of cases complicated by incomplete medical information, cases where recommended tests had not been done, and cases where the medical notes failed to give an accurate or complete picture of the patient. You know all-too-well the troubles these scenarios can cause.
A consultation with Dr. Bob:
Evaluates applicants’ medical insurability
Determines whether additional tests or examinations might either facilitate the underwriting process or possibly improve the insurer’s final underwriting decision
Explains how and why the policy will likely be rated
A Few Considerations:
Dr. Bob believes in the value of accurate and fair risk selection for all.
We do not have direct access to medical underwriting manuals and cannot give you exact table ratings. Dr. Bob did, however, write and use these manuals for nearly 30 years.
We can only work with the information you give us. We don’t have access to the required insurance examination, lab work, or other medical records.
We cannot change or deny the diseases that some people have. What we can do is explain a likely rating, which will help you discuss the issues with your client and improve your placement rate.
We will try to give you an estimate of likely outcomes if we recommend a repeat or alternative test. Sometimes, these tests or alternative studies that I suggest may identify worse disease and cause a higher rating or medical declination.
We cannot communicate with the underwriter without personally examining the patient. These in-person examinations will be possible starting September 2008, when Dr. Bob will begin the executive physical program at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Add value to your client relationships, possibly improve their insurability, and place more rated cases by consulting with DrBob, LLC before you start the medical underwriting process.
"What Healthy People Know"
And the Seven Things They Do To Stay Healthy and Live Long
"A few years ago, Dr. Bob gave me a prescription to improve my health. He told me to go for a walk and eat an apple every day. A year later, I have lost over 50 pounds and re-gained a very large measure of both self-respect and strength. I love the new me."
